D&D: Battle Systems Fantasy Dungeon Unboxing

D&D: Battle Systems Fantasy Dungeon Unboxing

Last month I spent a lot of time hunting for some flexible, affordable, durable and most importantly good looking terrain to make dungeons and building interiors. I looked at a lot of the resin companies out there, and there some great companies making some great terrain, but it missed out on the affordable selection choice, plus I would have to paint it. A friend of mine mentioned that he had backed Battle Systems Kickstarter a while back and was really happy with what he got.  So did some research watched some videos and decided to pick up the Fantasy Dungeon Set

Check after the break for a full unboxing and initial thoughts.

The box is a hefty weight and on opening it is topped with a lovely gaming mat see below.

2ft x 2ft flexible rubber mat, over the course of the unboxing it did lay flat. Covered in 25mm squares, making it dead easy to deal with any combat situations that may arise, the mat is beautifully detailed. With lots of details on the floor tiles. I will probably find a lot of uses for this mat.

One of the parts that makes this kit so flexible are the clips in the above 2 photos. 1 sheet of hard plastic clips that join walls horizontally and vertically, there a lot of clips located on some of the other sheets

Free extra well and forge comes with this kit

Walkways and long and short with belustrades

This is a great sheet with lots of cool scenery pieces to bring life to your rooms or dungeons.

Walls doors and ramps

Colin has made some great tutorials to help you learn how to build and use your new terrain

So large picture dump, hopefully you get an idea of the superb detail and quality of the card stock and the options open to you as the creator.
The card stock is nice and thick and durable, some of the items such as stairs and the furniture that does not need to be broken down for storage will be glued.

The Beast from the East caused delays with me receiving my order, but I cannot fault the service the Colin gave, answering emails at 11pm is beyond the call of duty and ringing to confirm that the mystery parcel I received was indeed my order was much appreciated. I certainly will be ordering some more of the kits next month.

Hopefully the wife will give me some time this weekend so I can fully assemble the kit and take some more pictures and give some review on the kit.

Any feedback is greatly appreciated.
