Stormsire WIP

The reading has been going well and I have read all the background in both the Shadespire and the Nightvault books. I have enjoyed the back story more so that I did not have to read pages and pages of story, just a short punchy overview which can allow me to develop my own stories if so desired.

I have had a read through the rules and I understand the basic flow of the game, but as I guessed prior to reading this game is going to be all about the deck and deployment of the warband.

Then I cracked onto the model and started my Stormsire's below are the work in progress shots.

Rather than the standard blue and gold I have gone with a rich purple and gold, liking the painting of the models so far

Hope to have these finished before I head to Essen in 2 weeks time.

Chainrasps progress coming along well this week, the red and blue cloths have been paid down, now time for the detailed work of the metal and the skin.

Hard pushing this week to get them complete, before I allow myself to open the Adeptus Titanicus box set.

Knight of Shroud Gallery

Completed my Knight of Shrouds yesterday pleased with how he has come out, next up are the 20 Chainclasps. Gonna see if I can knock them out this week.

Age of Sigmar Knight of Shrouds WIP

Lunchtime today started work on my Night Shroud. Using the new Nighthaunt Bloom as the base I slowly added white scar air to lighten it through to pure white. Then to soften the blend watered down Coelia Greenshade. Tomorrow plan to work on the steeds covering. I am thinking of working from light to dark so a nice contrast

Well this week is ticking along nicely with finishing my Guardian of the Souls. Really enjoyed painting this model. Next up is two 10 strong Chainclasp hordes. Be good to get some core troops into the army. Check after the break for some more angel shots.

I had completed a couple of the other characters in the box set and I had started work on the Chainrasp Horde but I wasn't happy with how the red cloth was coming out. So thought back to the drawing board and try out the new paints. Not 100% on the light green flame might change that up a bit and go with a smoky red. Aiming to have this finished over the weekend.

This lunch time got some paint on the Guardian of the Souls, really enjoying the sculpt on these new models. Will be starting up a Path of Glory series of games with a colleague from work. Battletome should arrive tomorrow so will get the army rolled up and report on it.

Quick work in progress shot from todays lunch break. Started work on the Spirit Torment from the Soul Wars box, going with a nice deep red for the cloths rather than the GW ghostly scheme. Hope to have this finished by the end of the week.

Age of Sigmar Nighthaunts

With our open day being on Saturday I did not have time to pick up my copy of Soul War so will need to wait till Monday. Gives me time to clear the desk ready for assembly and painting lines.

I am really looking forward to getting my hands on the NightHaunt models the undead has always been one of my favourite fantasy army in all editions. Cannot wait to read their background and start painting.

If this weeks releases was not enough GW have dropped another huge range of models, the wallet is gonna take a hit over the next couple of months. Check out the images after the break.
