Dungeons & Dragons Baphomet WIP

With last weeks bad times slowly behind me, decided it was back to the hobby desk. I needed a change from the Ultramarines, and I had recently picked up Baphomet from Gale Force Nine. It's a really lovely sculpt. Very clean and crisp resin model cut into a number of parts arms, tail, head and crown. As with all resin models of this size there are some mold cut lines to clean and air bubbles to fill. I am really impressed with the quality of the model and cannot wait to start getting some paint on the model.

Dungeons & Dragons: Thavius Kreeg

Completed Thavius Kreeg from Gale Force Nine Descent into Avernus Range. Really nice 1 piece model with plenty of detail.

Pictures of the completed model after the break.

Massive Darkness Gallery Iron Golem

Massive Darkness Gallery Iron Golem

Last night I completed the Iron Golem from the Light Bringers box set. Happy with the dark tones that the ink washes have given the model. Looking forward to him entering the table and give the Light Bringers some pain.

More pictures after the break

Dungeons & Dragons: Gallery Mimic Chest

Dungeons & Dragons: Gallery Mimic Chest

Today finally finished up my Mimic Chest for Dungeons & Dragons. Now  as a monster it is hardly the most challenging an intrepid party will face but the shock of oooh look a treasure chest suddenly chomping down on the openers arm will be priceless.

I do have plans for more Mimics, some much much larger.

Massive Darkness: WIP Iron Golem

Massive Darkness: WIP Iron Golem

Last night got some work done on one of the roaming monsters for Massive Darkness. This will also be used in Dungeons and Dragons so nice multi purpose.

Starting from a Black Undercoat layered with Leadbelcher and once dried layer of Coellia Greenshade and then a layer of Nuln Oil, this gives a very dark green black tone to the metal. Then drybrushed up with Leadbelcher and then Runefang Steel.

Looking forward to finishing it this week.

Massive Darkness: Troglodytes Boss

Massive Darkness: Trogdolytes Boss

My first finished Massive Darkness figure this week. Up is the Minion Boss from the Trogdolytes box set. Only another models to complete from this box set. I have not decided on the basing as of yet, but I think it will be something to reflect the nature of the tiles.
This model will also star as an enemy NPC in the D&D campaign that I am running.

Morathi wip on the wings

So now onto the large beauty model. To say I am intimidated by the model is an understatement. I have watched the GW painting video a couple of times. So with a deep breath I started on the largest and most eye catching area the wings.

After base coating with Stormvermin Fur, then mixed 1 part of Khorne red with 4-5 parts Lhamia medium, covered the wings then wiped off using the finger. What Chris does not mention in the video that this part is messy. So first stage done and the model does not feel so intimidating.

Hope you have a good Easter weekend and get lots of hobby time and eating of eggs.

Morathi:- First Gallery Pics

Morathi:- First Gallery Pics

This is the first completed model for a project that is going to see multiple uses. Will be used at some point for Age of Sigmar, but prime role for this figure is going to be as a ongoing Monster in D&D.
Really enjoyed painting this model, eyeing up the daemon version with trepidation.

I will be setting up the Battle Systems Dungeon later this week and trying to get some better shots.

After the break will be some WIP shots.
