Scarlet Requiem and Hobby Update

So there has been a long break in posting, a lot of it has just been motivation in the hobby and finding something that I really wanted to focus on. With a severe lack of drive or passion to really paint anything the hobby sat empty and virtually no purchases were made in terms of buying miniatures. My tabletop gaming has literally ground to a halt and that used to be a major motivation for painting models.

Roleplaying has now almost moved exclusively to Online TableTop using VTTs. Our regular gaming group now only meets every 2 weeks and I find it very hard to remember what has happened in the previous session.

It does sound a little bit like all is doom and gloom in my hobby world.

With taking time to reflect on my hobby and gaming. I came to realise that I am time poor when it comes to engaging in tabletop gaming. The days of having a day or half a day for gaming seems to be in the past as my gaming network have other commitments than gaming.

I still love keeping up to date with the GW hobby and figures that they release but in terms of gaming I have reduced myself so far down to 1 system which is Legion Imperialis, Easy to collect a box is effectively 1 selection in the army.

Roleplaying is really the hobby I am dedicating the most time to in regards to prep work. I run a weekly session using The Forge VTT for D&D. With the release of the new rules last year we are now starting to see a lot of independent material coming out. (more on this to follow)

Eve Online, some may call this a second job, and I think if you have not found the right people to fly with it can feel like a chore to log on and hit what you are looking for. I have been very lucky that I have found 2 like minded Space Idiots to fly in null sec with.

But back to the image at the top of the page. This is  Baron Voyd from Loot Studios and printed for me by 3DKingdoms. Based on the popular D&D Vampire Strahd. This is the Action pose version of the figure. Loot Studios do great bundle packs based on a theme that come out each month. This is a Vampire themed adventure bundle
