Stripes The Lowdown,
For those that you have been reading my posts on my Stripes army, progress is coming along nicely with the Scout Sections there will be post later this week.
Todays post is the lowdown on the Stripes book.

First up is the new cover art showing the Humvee, M60 and Lav, with Cobras flying overhead. The first 20 pages covers the early days of World war III giving some nice background and unit deployment on the maps. So for those of you that like to run narrative games or campaigns you will find a good amount of information to help start.
The meat of the book is the forces and any new rules for the units found in the book.
The force lists will allow you to make forces from the following:
US Forces
Armoured Combat Team
Mech Combat Team
Cavalry Troop
82nd Airborne
Infantry Combat Team
Army Support
2nd Marine Division
Marine Tank Company
Marine Rifle Company
Marine LAV Company
Marine Support
Special Rules
So there are 7 lists that can be taken as a complete army choice or combined to make a much larger force. Even though I am focused on my Cavalry unit I can see me taking some Marines in support. Just love the Humvee’s and Huey models.
Up next is 3 new scenarios for you to test your forces out and see if you can drive the Ruskies back to the Motherland. I have not played any of these yet, but plan to try one out. Just getting time to link up with Jonathan is proving hard.
At the back of the book is a very useful painting guide to help you get a great looking force on the table.
